This Is Not Where We Belong- Chapter 5
Josh's POV
Hayley was surprisingly calm when I told her about Belle and Elliot, who were both dead. I guess she was used to the fact that in our world, people dying was regular. You should actually be surprised you're still alive, especially in Hayley's case. I wiped a tear away from her cheek.
"Don't cry, sweetie. Belle knew what she was fighting for. It was her own choice. And you're still here." I soothed Hayley, who was silently crying. Hayley was amazingly kind and compassionate; she had barely know Belle for less than 24 hours. Tinsley and Jeremy entered the room. Hayley waved. Tinsley ran to her side and gave her a big hug.
"Hayley, I'm so happy you're okay!" she cried. Hayley smiled and hugged her back. "What hurts?" Tinsley asked.
"Just.... Everything. Haha." Hayley muttered dryly, though she was smiling. The poor girl was thoroughly bruised, had a broken arm, and staples in her head. They had done it without shaving her hair, thank god. The doctor walked in then and gently removed Tinsley's arm from around Hayley.
"You're a popular one, aren't you?" the doctor asked. Hayley nodded shyly. "You know only family is allowed to see you, correct?" he asked. She smiled.
"This is my family." she said, looking him straight on. And no one could doubt the love in her eyes.

We were finally on the move again. Elliot's betrayal had slowed us down quite a bit, but at least we had killed 4 witches in the process. If Hayley hadn't woken up and noticed the lights when she did, we could have all been dead. We were heading to Pheonix, Arizona now. We planned to stay there for about a week. Hayley needed to rest. We pulled in to the parking lot of a fancy hotel. Like, Four Seasons type fancy. We all gaped at Tinsley. Sure we had the money, but we didn't want to be so conspicuous. The valet man parked our car, and we walked into the lobby. We seemed so shabby among the important business people, CEO's, and spoiled Louis Vuitton hangbag carrying divas. We had no luggage, and we were filthy. We got our room key; room 3957. That meant floor 39. Oh god, Jeremy was terrified of heights. He was even jittery on the elevator ride up. He refused to even look out the window when we got to the room (not that there was much of a view; it was Arizona for goodness' sake) and took the bed close to the door. We all flopped down and decided to get a good night's sleep.
Ugh sorry for shortness; this is really a filler chapter. Ok, so the first people that ask can be the next two parts coming up in the story. Two sisters that are like Josh and them, or may not join the gang. Haha that sounds funny!! Just tell me your name k?? (:
